Equity Benchmark indices settled Tuesday’s session lower led by losses in financial, telecom and pharma stocks. The BSE Sensex ended at 26,307, down 67 points, while the broader Nifty closed at 8,082, down 22 points. Broader market underperformed the headline indices. BSE Mid-cap and BSE Small-cap finished 1.40% and 0.92% lower, respectively.
Equity benchmarks started off day on a flat note with positive bias Tuesday, with the Nifty holding 8100 level, supported by ITC and Infosys.
