Equity Benchmark indices as well as broader markets lost more than 1 percent Friday on global weakness. The BSE Sensex is trading over at 26230 down 329 points, while NSE Nifty declined 106 points to 8086, continuing downtrend for the second consecutive session. Out of 1,879 stocks traded on the NSE, 1799 declined, 865 advanced and 128 remained unchanged today. The Indian Rupee closed higher by 0.15 paise at 68.19 per Dollar.
A total of 15 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 12 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
End of the week all BSE sectors are closed with negative leads. The BSE Small-cap dropped 167 points to 12083, BSE Mid-cap closed down 155 points at 12199 and Bank Nifty lost 180 points to 18247. In commodity market, Gold hiked 380 points at 28,300 and Sliver jumped up 22 points to 39,740.
Asian Market Updates: Today Asian market, closed with negative leads. Nikkei dropped 87 points at 18426, Hang seng lost 313 points to 22564, KOSPI closed down 13 points at 1970 and Shanghai Composite closed lower by 28 points to 3244.
